So I was wading through the 4.2 menus looking for the “Enable USB Debugging” tick box and could not find it anywhere. Google of course had the answer here, but the solution rather surprised me:
Note: On Android 4.2 and newer, Developer options is hidden by default. To make it available, go to Settings > About phone and tap Build number seven times. Return to the previous screen to find Developer options.
Could it really be more geeky? Reminds me of those obscure Easter eggs in games and applications from an era that seems like antiquity in development terms. Not that it didn’t bring a smile to my face 🙂
