Earlier this week, on that walk to St Martha’s hill, I also took a few images of the church itself. I’ve been sitting on this for a few days as I had been hoping for better (photographic) conditions. However, it’s still a great place to visit, any time. This was taken in the late afternoon sun on a (rare) clear day. The point of view is very close to the wider angle view I had taken a few months ago. This was taken with the same 17-40mm lens at its widest, but this time on the 30D. Comparing the two, the effect of the crop sensor is very evident. Editing involved cloning out a small part of my shadow (which was unavoidable) and the usual selective curves to reduce the overall dynamic range and improve local contrast.
