This time of the year is always the most hectic; between assessments for the classes I teach and final year projects I supervise and/or examine, and other administrative duties, not much energy is left for anything else. This is, however, balanced by the weather generally improving and the day getting long enough for ‘evening’ to actually mean something. So today I’m sharing an image from a recent after-work picnic at Newlands Corner, celebrating some quiet time in the (tame) outdoors from our neck of the woods.
The image was taken handheld with my EOS Elan II and the 17-40mm f/4L lens at about 24mm. Film used was Kodak TMX-100 at its rated 100 ISO exposure index. Processing involved only the usual selective curves for contrast adjustment.
As always, you can click on the image for a larger version; comments welcome.
