I’m taking a break from the pictures of churches and chapels to share an image taken last weekend. On a walk back to Waverley from Tilford I went by some tall (dry) grass; patches of this was lit by the sun breaking through the clouds, and with the trees in the distance I felt it made a decent composition. It took me a while to get the shot as the wind had picked up a bit, and it proved rather difficult to focus on anything. So I waited a while, and snapped a few frames as the wind eased. And to think I almost kept walking by. Sometimes it’s the images you don’t plan that work out best.
The image was taken handheld as a single exposure. Processing involved only global curves to adjust the contrast.
As always, you can click on the image for a larger version; comments welcome.
