This week I wanted to share another photo from the series of telephoto shots taken at Lapsi a little more than a month ago. I was intrigued by the way the late light was falling on the headland in the distance, highlighting the twisted layers of rock. A sailing boat was approaching, so I waited until it was in the right place and took the photo. Further out you can also see what I think is an exploratory rig.
I just like the play of light at the end (or start) of day; I think it’s incredible just how many colours can show up where a few short hours before you’d only see the pale white of the hot Mediterranean summer’s day. I generally much prefer the cooler months of late autumn, winter, and early spring. But one must admit that the late and early hours of the day are still enjoyable in the hotter months.
