I thought it would make sense, on this Thursday, to share the first photo of almond-tree blossoms that I took. This was late January, also in Wied il-Għasel. At the time I was working through the expired roll of film from which I shared the first photo last week. The first few flowers had just started showing, and I remember commenting about how early and unusual it was this year.
As the afternoon light dims it becomes harder to get expose properly without blurring the photo due to camera movement. Particularly with film, where one cannot easily bump up the sensitivity. The 100mm macro becomes very useful here, with its fast f/2.8 aperture and solid optical stabilizer.
