A bit of a bonus post today, sharing a photo I took last autumn. April, who belongs to a friend and fellow climber, is a Border Collie with heaps of energy and enthusiasm. Not surprising in a dog that was bred for farming work, and especially in one that was still basically a puppy. You can practically see it in her eyes: that unasked question whether I was ready to play and give her some attention. And that little twig that got stuck to her coat just says it all.
Shooting this was surprisingly tricky; getting the focus correct, especially, with a subject that moves much more quickly than my subjects usually do. On the flip side, it was heaps of fun.
