In this last hour of the year, as many await the strike of midnight to celebrate, I wanted to share with you a photo from a week or so ago. This was at the end of a climbing session, as we were walking out of the valley, when we looked back and saw the full moon rising. As it happened, from our path this appeared in a cleft in the cliff-face. I quickly took out my camera and made a few shots. The tricky thing with this kind of photo is the exposure; I thought I did enough, but ideally I’d have taken the exposure down further to avoid burning the detail on the moon. Digital is not very forgiving.
To all my readers, I hope this year went well, and I wish you the best for 2019!
