I’m slowly catching up on photos to process from last year, so I’m sharing a couple from last year’s trip to the Lake District. We decided to spend the last day at Lyme Park, which we had visited some years earlier. This time, the weather was much nicer, so we spent time in the gardens and surrounding landscape. I also made a few photos, including two from across the pond which I’m sharing today. Those of you into period drama will likely recognize this stately home from the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice (the one with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth). Isn’t it exactly how you’d expect and old English mansion to look? Particularly on a fine day, it is such a pleasant thing to while away the hours with a stroll among the gardens.
