Sylvan Nymph

Sylvan Nymph. (Click on the photo for added detail.)

Keeping with the theme of (neo)classical statues, today’s photo takes us back almost a year to a stay in Sydney at the end of autumn in the southern hemisphere. On my way back from the conference in Wellington, I stopped for a week in Sydney to visit relatives there. I had enough time to also visit some attractions there, including The Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney. This is a substantial open space right near the CBD and Circular Quay. The photo shows one of the many statues in the gardens (unfortunately I cannot find any record of its name), next to a cluster of trees.
