This week I’m sharing another photo from that eventful walk starting from Baħrija. As I progressed along the cliff line, I kept to a high level path, which eventually became narrower, with care needed. Today’s photo shows this rather well – not only was the path becoming narrower, but it was also sloping down a bit (or in places a lot). I managed to keep going along this path for a while longer, until ‘sloping’ became ‘almost-vertical’ and ‘narrow’ became ‘knife-edge’. The drop wasn’t huge, but enough to cause some real damage. In short, it went beyond my risk threshold on a solo exploratory walk. Of course, this means I’ll have to return to figure out a way through.
