I’m finally down to the last photo from the walk starting from Mġarr, this one showing the cliffs around Fomm ir-Riħ bay. I think I haven’t been in the area since then, but much has happened in the interim. Access to the bay has been an issue for a long time, though in recent years I had not encountered difficulties (except once, when visiting the bay with a group, where a pair of hunters were rather threatening). Earlier this year, though, access was blocked for a while by a metal gate, which caused an uproar (c.f. articles in press below). It is so sad that access is so problematic in this part of the coastline and its surrounding countryside.
