Madonna ta’ Hodegitria and Victoria Lines

This week we’re travelling back five years to a walk starting from Binġemma, to share a couple of very related photos of the Victoria Lines. There is a particularly pretty section of the fortification lines where they cross the valley just below the chapel there. In the first photo, above, the chapel dedicated to the Madonna ta’ Hodegitria can be seen on the left, while the valley crossing is centre right. A close up photo of this section of the lines can be seen below, taken from a similar point of view, with an old farm building in the foreground. Details of the walk, and more photos of the Victoria Lines and the chapel can be found in an earlier article.
