Path to Qammieħ

Path to Qammieħ. (Click on the photo for added detail.)

This week’s throwback takes us back to the end of winter last year, and the exploratory walk around Qammieħ point that I mentioned last week. Today’s photo shows the well-kept path below the upper cliffs. In the distance, up ahead one can see the upper cliffs at Qammieħ point, while below and to the left is a yellow-limestone ledge by the sea to which this walk leads. I find Qammieħ to feel rather “away” – part of this is because getting there needs a longer drive than most places (not that half an hour is long by any measure). Partly it must be because there isn’t really any built-up area for some distance.
