Autumn began, here in the northern hemisphere, and with it some cooler weather. Locally the change came with quite a bang yesterday, and the first downpours. It’s still warm, of course, though a bit cooler already. This heralds the start of a new season for photography and walks in the country.
So perhaps it is appropriate that this week’s throwback photo is from such an autumnal walk last year, starting from Mġarr. On this walk I visited the rocky plateau known as Tal-Lippija, and the Knights-era tower there. I have photographed this tower before, which is physically very similar to the one in nearby Għajn Tuffieħa. But as you can see, there always seems to be another viewpoint, or particular weather conditions, that make another photo worth taking.
