After completing the Hias Klettersteig we walked over to the Silberkarhütte, an excellently-placed mountain hut at the end of the Silberkar valley, where we stopped for lunch (well, cake, really, but who’s asking?). The hut has its own cable car for transporting supplies, which simplifies things as the nearest road is at least a half-hour walk away. In case you’re wondering, the Wasenspitze is the peak above the hut, at an elevation of 2257m.
Later, two of us and the guide walked up the wall at the far left of this photo, for another via ferrata (Siega), but more about that another time.
