Imperfect Beauties

As another weekend draws to a close, I wanted to share with you a photo I took at Chartwell almost a year ago. We timed this particular visit for the gardens, with the roses in bloom being a well known highlight. However it’s not just the fancy flowers that are worth looking at. There is something particularly solar about daisies, I think; they have a way of brightening up any day. For me they’re such a reminder of my walks in the countryside – I’d often find them growing wild in the most unexpected places.

This group had a very particular look. They may have been past their prime, but they still felt so inviting and ‘happy’. I don’t think it was possible to find a framing with only well-formed daisies but I didn’t mind too much. Anyway, I hope you like them too.
